Oh How I LOVE these Boys!

Seasons of Life

I can't believe how long it's been since I posted here, but I'm going to play a little catch up. It's been a crazy month.

First I would like to pay tribute to three people who have made the journey into eternity recently. Knowing that all three are in Heaven in the loving arms of Jesus Christ really does help the loss!

First my friend Kathi Kensinger lost her father-in-law. No matter our age, we still mourn the loss of a loved one. Kathi is a fantastic friend, and her support of her husband and mother-in-law will never be forgotten.

My friend (and upline in CTMH) lost her mother on Labor Day after a long battle with Alzeheimer's diease. This really hit home with me because (a) I love Kathy and have shared her journey (b) my father is in Stage 3 Alzeherimer's. I know what it's like. When dealing with this horrible diease, you really struggle with your emotions - not wanting your loved one to suffer yet not wanting to let go. Kathy, you have been an inspiration to me through all of this.

Lastly, a dear and special friend, Betty Lou Ferreira, lost her four month battle with cancer. Her last days were finally pain free, but it was a tough struggle. Betty Lou is one of those people who will be sorely missed because of her happy and bright personality. She had the gift of encouragement and I'll miss her from my life.

Seasons of Life. We see them more as we get older. It's a reminder to make sure you tell your family and friends how much you love them and what they mean to you. We don't always get that opportunity. I was so glad I could spend a little time with Betty Lou and share what a positive impact she has had on my life. It made our good bye bitter sweet. At least I'll see her someday in Heaven! PTL.

Hug someone today!

it's a zoo around here

perhaps it was our trip to the zoo last week . . . (see above FAMILY photo of bryce brushing the goats)

or perhaps it was my fit of cleaning-out my scrapdesk. . .

or perhaps it was because there were seven children playing at my house today . . .

but i felt the need to use this WILD paper to make some cards.

A fun way to feed the birds!

Laura had a great recipe for feeding the birds in North Carolina. Take stale white bread (we actually bought a fresh loaf and laid it out to get dried up), cover with peanut butter and roll in bird seed. We poked a hole in the bread, pushed twine through and hung the bread from tree branches. It was a blast! The picture below shows our assembly line!

Feed the Birds!

North Carolina

When you live in SW Florida you are use to the heat and humidity. Heading to the Smoky Mountains in NC is always a cool relief, but this year we managed to arrive in time for a major heat wave!!! In spite of the heat, we had a great time with family. Lots of fun pictures to scrapbook too! I'll post some more pictures so you can see all the fun!

See my toes LOL? This layout was part of our create & take at Leadership in San Diego. I added my photo and made a few changes. The paper pack and My Stickease are from the new My Reflections Life's Delight in 12 X 12. You may remember that design from the customer special we offered in a 9X9 Accordian book and paper pack. We now have BOTH!
This card was created using new product from our Fall/Winter 2007 Idea Book. The stamp sets are: C1286 Goodness of Life and B1280 Best of Times. Using the new Caprice paper pack, chocolate ribbon & ink, the card base is Colonial White Cardstock.

Fun cards

These fun cards were made by folding a piece of 6 x 12 paper in half length wise. Then folding it into equal 3 " section. If you look at the pictures, I think you will get it. Then the little notes are created for writing or just stamping a sentiment or image. Have fun with these adding ribbons and embellishments.

Tag Book

Look at the fun tag book Nancy made when she visited me in February.

Buddies Circle Book!

I really love our Circle Books. They come in a nice sturdy plastic box you can decorate to match your book. (Good for storing when not showing off!). For only $4.95 you can make books for everyone on your gift giving list.
Each book comes with a Chipboard front and back and ten White Daisy cardstock pages. The front has a center circle you can punch out, and there are dimensial elements you can include in your book.
This book was created with our Let's Get Together paper pack and matching Garden Green Ribbon Rounds. Gotta love those coordinating supplies!

CKC

Hi Everyone,
We had a great time at the Fort Lauderdale Creating Keepsakes Convention. I'm already looking forward to the 2008 show, and it was exciting to hear they plan to return!

Attending an expo or convention sure gives you the opportunity to see new things, techniques, ideas, product, etc. Sharing my product with everyonne and hearing their response is a blast! Too many scrapbookers haven't ever stamped or seen the acrylix stamps. LOVE showing how easy it is!

I'll get the pictures up asap.
God's blessings,
Susan

Scrapbook Expo

The Tampa Scrapbook Expo was a blast. If you are one of the many ladies (and men) who stopped by our booth, we appreciate you! Our create & take was super busy, and many waited in long lines to create the pages. Did you miss out? Most of those layouts were available for purchase in kits from the consultants who taught the projects. Email me for details.

Coming June 29 & 30 is the Fort Lauderdale CREATING KEEPSAKES CONVENTION. This is going to be a major event, so make plans to attend if you are in Florida. Although our CTMH class is about sold out, stop by our booth to see the class kits while still available. Monica and Natalie are teaching the class Friday & Saturday, and the Tagalicious Book is beautiful! Watch for photos in July.

Keep coming back, we'll have more artwork and ideas posted for your creative inspiration!

God's blessings,
Susan

Robyn Tuckett created this First Place award winning 12 X 12 double page layout.

Using our new Expedition page kit, stamps, and embellishments, this layout shows off the great pictures from the San Diego Zoo!

This first place award winning Circle Tag book was created by Debi Squires. The cover is created as a "shaker window" front. Under the word "zoo" you can see the cute animal confetti!

This is the front side of Debi Squires First Place Circle Tag book. This book was created using our new Expedition paper pack and My Stickease.

Earning a second place award, Melissa Walker created this page and used Liquid Glass over the "Wardens Softball" words. You may not be able to see the full affect, but it's really great!
